Overview

MDS Courses are offered in 9 streams in Amrita School of Dentistry, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi. The courses are recognized by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi.

Aim : To achieve a dual benefit of holistic training for students and better patient satisfaction

Objectives:

  1. Comprehensive clinical model gives emphasis to boost confidence among dental students in treatment planning and treatment delivery.
  2. Provide “patient centred care” and better patient satisfaction as they received complete dental care
  • First Dental School in Kerala to start MDS in all 9 specialties.

Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Candidates must have secured a BDS degree recognised by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria: NEET MDS – 2024 qualified candidates who have been allotted to Amrita School of Dentistry by the MCC, New Delhi are eligible to report for admissions for the academic year 2024-2025

Before reporting, candidates should remit their first year course fees* (TuitionFees + Other Fees only)  through online mode and proof of fee remittance should be e-mailed to pgadmissions@aims.amrita.edu

Selection & Counseling

Selection for MDS Admissions is based on the NEET MDS – 2024 All India Rank (AIR). After NEET MDS – 2024 results are published; candidates are advised to visit the MCC website for participating in All India Deemed University UG counselling conducted by the Directorate General of health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), New Delhi.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the MCC website for latest notifications regarding counselling schedule / reschedules / counselling scheme and other updations after NEET-MDS 2024 results. Candidates must also visit Amrita MDS frequently for further instructions and guidelines regarding reporting for admissions.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Admission Cancellation and Fee Refund Policy 2025-2026

Scenario Purpose

Medical Seats

In scenarios of upgradation/resignation of medical seats during the Rounds of MCC Counselling as per DGHS norms. Admission Processing Charges of Rs.2500 will be deducted.
If candidate cancels admission (in any circumstance) leaving the seat vacant for the entire course duration First year Course Fees paid will not be refunded. In addition to this, residents should pay the Tuition Fees for the remaining course duration (as applicable to each course) as liquidated damages to the institution.

ADMISSION PROCESSING CHARGES (RS. 2500 INCLUDING GST) IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

Hostel Fee Refund Policy

(3) 80% 15 days or less after the formally notified last date of admission

(5) 0% More than 30 days after formally notified last date of admission

This policy dated 25th January 2025 will be followed in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi for all the courses and will remain in force for subsequent Academic Sessions until the issuance of a revised policy by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
