We are proud to announce the MAOM Champions of Change March-April 2022 who have been empowering students and their wellbeing through the Mastery Over The Mind (MAOM) initiative coordinated by Amrita Darshanam – International Centre for Spiritual Studies.

Mastery Over the Mind (MAOM) is a University-wide initiative at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for stress management, good health, and well-being of all students, faculty members, and staff. With roots in Indian culture, this course and program are part of our efforts for sustainable stress reduction (UN SDG-3) and give an introduction to immediate and long-term benefits of ancient tradition-based stress reduction methods. The MAOM program equips every attendee to manage stressful emotions and anxiety facilitating inner peace and harmony. Based on a meditation technique offered by our Chancellor and world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), Mastery Over Mind Program is offered free for all members of the #AMRITA family.
Amrita’s Champions of Change were selected among our staff and faculty members who conducted several sessions over the weeks of March-April 2022 equipping attendees to manage stressful emotions and anxiety through sustainable and traditional stress reduction techniques as part of MAOM program.
