Ms. Sofi Dinesh, Assistant Professor, School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, presented her research papers entitled “The Role of Cognitive Complexity and Risk Evasiveness in Herd Behavior” and “Consumer Behavior in Collaborative Consumption: The Role of Cognitive Complexity and Psychological Empowerment on Customer Value” at 2019 AMA (American Marketing Association) Summer Academic Conference held at Chicago, USA, from August 9-11, 2019. Both papers were co-authored with Dr. Rejikumar G. (Associate Professor, School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi), her thesis supervisor.
AMA is a highly reputed international conference where academicians from top tier universities from across the world meet up with prospective researchers and discuss their research with them. This year, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was very well represented and promoted through her presentations and interactions.
She represented Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at the conference along with candidates from IIT-Chennai, MICA, IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Indore, IIM-Rohtak, IIFT, and BITS Pilani. She had the opportunity to interact with renowned editors like Dr. Ajay Kohli of Georgia Tech (Former Editor of Journal of Marketing), Dr. Christine Moorman of Duke University (Current Editor in Chief of the Journal of Marketing), Dr. Arvind Rangaswamy from Penn State University and one of the founders of the Enginius Marketing Analytics Software, Dr. Manjeet Yadav, who is Macy’s Foundation Professor and Professor of Marketing at Texas A&M University, and Dr. John Hulland (Editor in Chief of Journal of Academy of Marketing Science) to name a few.
