Prof. Sethuraman Rao, Associate Professor, Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA), Amritapuri Campus, presented a paper on “A Novel Solution for High Speed Internet over the Oceans” at the WCNEE 2018 Workshop held at 2nd IEEE International Workshop on Wireless Communications and Networking in Extreme Environments (IEEE INFOCOM) 2018, Honolulu, Hawaii, on April 16, 2018. He received an ITRA-Mobile International Travel fellowship for presenting this paper.
The paper presentation was well received and pertinent feedback was provided by the audience. He also met Professor Ravi Narayan, a faculty member at the Department of Information and Computer Science, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and had a discussion to open up opportunities for future research collaboration. He also met Professor Anand Paul from The School of Computer Science and Engineering, Kyungpook National University, South Korea, who is very keen on collaborating with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in the future.
