Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham celebrated its 27th graduation ceremony at the Amritapuri campus. Prof. Bhushan Patwardhan, AYUSH National Research Professor and former UGC Vice Chairman, delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the importance of effectively using rapidly advancing technologies and balancing quick results with in-depth study. He encouraged graduates to focus on collective achievements rather than individual gains.
In a video message, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, urged graduates to use their learning to make a positive impact on the world. She advised them to think beyond personal needs and consider their contributions to global betterment.
Sanjeev Jain, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Board Member of Wipro, spoke about adapting to technological changes while maintaining common sense, especially in the era of artificial intelligence. He also stressed the importance of valuing time and acquired knowledge.
Swamini Krishnamrita Prana gave the benedictory address. The ceremony also featured speeches from university leaders, including Dr. Maneesha V. Ramesh, Provost; Dr. K. Sankaran, Registrar; Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean of the School of Engineering; Dr. Bipin Nair, Dean of Life Sciences; and Dr. Geetha Kumar, Dean of Physical Sciences.
The event concluded with the conferral of degrees to 2,167 students in fields such as Engineering, Biotechnology, Arts and Commerce, Physical Sciences, Business, and Ayurveda. Additionally, 403 students from the AHEAD online program received their degrees, and 24 students were awarded Ph. D. degrees. Medals were presented to top achievers in each category.
