Dr. Maneesha V. Ramesh, Director & Professor at Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA) and Dean of Amrita Center for International Programs, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, will attend and address the Indo-Italian Joint Workshop on Multi- Hazard Mitigation of Risks to Cultural Heritage at Senate Hall, IIT Delhi, India, on December 5, 2017. Dr. Maneesha will present on the topic, ‘Online Monitoring of Landslides’.

The workshop focuses on natural hazards like earthquakes and landslides and their possible impact on the cultural heritage. The technical program was organized by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi; Embassy of Italy, New Delhi, and Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur from 4-5 December, 2017. Prevention policies and emergency management strategies will be discussed with the participation of top level scientists and key stakeholders from both Italy and India. The workshop will represent an ideal forum to exchange experiences, best practices and views, aiming at strengthening scientific cooperation and joint activities.
