Inclusive Education and Participation
The summit emphasized inclusivity by offering both in-person and online participation, ensuring that knowledge dissemination transcended physical barriers. Delegates from around the globe, including health ministers, representatives from the WHO and UN, multinational NGOs, and experts from ICMR and NMC, gathered to discuss and shape actionable policy recommendations.
Workshops within the summit provided hands-on learning opportunities, culminating in the development of practical, evidence-based policy proposals for global health improvement. The outcomes of these sessions will be presented to the C20 Chair in July and ultimately to G20 leaders in September 2023, reinforcing the global impact of such educational efforts.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in collaboration with the Indian Adult Education Association, Shanti Ashram, and Gandhigram Rural Institute, hosted the 64th All India Adult Education Conference at its Coimbatore campus. Ranked among India’s top 10 universities by NIRF 2023, the university welcomed over 170 participants from across the country for the three-day event.
The inauguration ceremony featured Dr. (Tmt) Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Lt. Governor of the Union Territory of Puducherry, as the Chief Guest, along with other distinguished dignitaries. The conference focused on the theme “Role of Higher Education Institutions in National Education Policy 2020 – A Way Ahead” and explored the role of higher education institutions in implementing the transformative vision of NEP 2020.
Following the inaugural session, the event included discussions on various topics, such as educational governance, implementation strategies, digital and health literacy, skill development for community empowerment, corporate social responsibility in education, transformative approaches, the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), volunteerism, and gender issues.
The Two-Day International Conference on Indian Ideologies and Traditional Practices was successfully held on November 18–19, 2022, in a hybrid format, organized by Amrita Darshanam (International Centre for Spiritual Studies) and the Department of Languages, Amrita School of Arts, Humanities and Commerce, Mysuru Campus.
This conference coincided with India’s Amrit Mahotsav, marking 75 years of independence, and was a tribute to the nation’s rich tradition of learning and education.
