Amrita Team Spreads the awareness about SDG-5 by celebrating “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women in different parts of India.
The United Nations General Assembly has designated November 25 as the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.” The 2019 theme for the #VAWG is ‘Orange the World: Generation Equality Stands Against Rape’.
In order to commemorate VAWG day, AMMACHI Labs deployment team in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Bihar organized various awareness activities aimed to prevent and end violence against women. In Haryana, community organizer Reena and facilitator Priyanka invited the girls and young women from Kanti village for life enrichment education session on “Gender-based violence” with the support of AMMACHI Labs’ #LEE videos.
