Partnering with NGO’s for achieving SDGs (SustIN)

Through its International Network for Sustainable Innovation and Resilient Futures (SustIN), a platform featuring 60 collaborators, including 25 NGOs across 10 countries and 35 universities, the university provides unique opportunities to engage with SDG focused projects.

Student Volunteering Programs

Through the collaboration with NGO partners as a part of Civil 20 India and Parent Organization, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, several student immersive volunteering experiences have been undertaken in SDG-related projects. By participating in these programs, students gain firsthand insights into sustainability challenges while contributing meaningfully to community development.

Development of Educational Resources

As part of its global curriculum pathway, SustIN works with educators, NGOs, and community organizations to co-develop interdisciplinary educational resources. These materials focus on topics such as environmental sustainability and community development, empowering students to address real-world challenges through culturally relevant, values-based learning.

From Dec 11-13, 2024 an International Symposium on Sustainable Innovation and Development was conducted for the deliberating on the development of a global curriculum and educational resources.

Knowledge Exchange Hub

SustIN also functions as a platform for sharing best practices and innovative solutions among its collaborators, including UNESCO Chairs, NGO and institutional partners. This knowledge-sharing ecosystem strengthens global efforts across SDG domains, fostering sustainable innovation and resilient futures.

By collaborating with NGOs in these key areas, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham equips students, researchers, and communities with the tools to make meaningful contributions toward achieving the UN SDGs.
