Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications'(Amrita WNA) M. Tech. Student, Gayathri S. Menon, was selected by ABB, a Swedish-Swiss multinational corporation, as an intern for a stipend of Rs. 25000, per month.
Amrita student, Mr. Rishideep S. (final year BTech), Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, developed an Android App, ‘Wall on”, which has been adjudged as one among the Top 10 Best Android Apps for July, 2017, by TechworkZ online global community of Android App developers.
Mr. Sabiq, an M.Tech. student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, has received an opportunity to study at University of Porto, Portugal. He was selected to go to University of Porto, through the Merging Voices Erasmus Program. He is currently working on his final semester project.
Athira Viswanathan, first year M. Tech. student at Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA), Amritapuri, was selected by Tejas Networks, a telecom company in Bangalore, as an intern. . .
The research article titled, “A Comparative Study on Decomposition of Test Signals Using Variational Mode Decomposition and Wavelets” has been selected as Editor’s Choice of the year 2016 under the category of Information Technology by the International Journal on Electrical Engineering and Informatics.
The IEEE-PES (Power and Energy Society) & IEEE –IAS (Industry Applications Society) Joint Student Branch Chapter of Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, under the guidance of Dr. K .Deepa (Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru), notched a tremendous victory and has been ranked 1st in Asia Pacific, and India, and also bagged 6th in the world ranking of ‘High Performing Student Branch Chapter (HPSBC) 2016.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Branch of Amrita School of Arts & Sciences, Mysuru, has been adjudged as the best active student branch in India for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Ms. Devika Krishnadas, a 4th Semester BTech student from the department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus, has been selected to attend Google I/O, an annual developer conference held by Google in San Francisco, California.
Siddharth Ramakrishnan, a graduate of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore campus, won first place at the 2016 KTH Masters Challenge India competition in the field of Engineering Design. Siddharth competed against applicants from the IITs, NITs, and other highly ranked universities throughout India.
Six students from Amrita School of Pharmacy attended and presented papers and posters in the recently held one-day National Seminar on “Current Trends and Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Field” on February 18, 2017 ,at Nazareth College of Pharmacy, Othera, Thiruvalla, Kerala.
