Ms. Shintu Shaji, Pharm. D. 2012 batch, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi, bagged the first prize for poster presentation in the one-day International Seminar on Diabetes, “ Diabeat ”, held at Pushpagiri College of Pharmacy on February 15, 2018.
Ms. Jyothi Vaidyanathan and Ms. Nithya Shree, 2016-2020 batch of B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, aced the Codeathon and Best Manager events at the 34th Computer Society of India (CSI) National Student Convention (NSC) held at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore, from March 16-17, 2018.
A team of four students of the Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, Department of Electronics and Communication, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, were selected to the elite team from selected countries to participate in the 29th edition of RoboCon International Design Contest (IDC) 2018 to be held at Tokyo Institute of Technology from August 6-18, 2018.
Mr. Sivanand Devarakonda, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru Campus, has been awarded a scholarship to pursue the master’s programme at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. The scholarship came after he bagged the first prize at the KTH Master’s Challenge 2018.
The students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, won first prize for Mime competition at the National Level Cultural Competitions, Dhwani’18, held by CET Trivandrum, on March 18, 2018.
Mr. Gurudatt Patra, 1st year, MSc Biotechnology, Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amritapuri, has been selected for the prestigious Khorana Program for Scholars. the internship will be from May 21- July 31, 2018.
Mr. Bharani S. S., Mr. Parthasarathi Singh, Ms. Lakshmi P., Ms. Aiswarya N., Ms. K. U. Meera, Ms. Angitha N. Nath, Ms. Reshma Kuttan, Mr. Vysakh Vishwanath and Mr. Shantam Yagnik, B.Sc. Biotechnology students of the 2015-2018 batch at Amrita School of Biotechnology qualified the Jawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Examination for Masters in Biotechnology which was conducted on behalf of 32 participating universities in India.
Ms. Anu Susan Kurian, a B.Sc. Microbiology student of 2016-2019 batch at Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amritapuri, was selected for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) 2018 by the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR).
B.Sc. Biotechnology students of Amrita School of Biotechnology (2016-2019 batch), Ms. Shree Viba and Mr. Thotla Vinay Kumar were selected for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2018 by the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru.
The students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, brought honour and laurels to the institution by winning the overall championship of a one day chess competition held at Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Trivandrum, on 3rd March, 2018.
