An eleven member delegation from the University of Twente, Netherlands, visited Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Coimbatore campus on February 7th, 2017, to discuss potential educational and research collaborations. During the visit, Amrita faculty and delegates from Twente shared their research and academic backgrounds, held interactive sessions, and found areas of mutual interest for future collaborations.

Prof. Ravindranathan Thampi, Associate Professor of Solar Energy and Vice-Principal of Internationalization in Engineering and Architecture at University College Dublin (Ireland), visited the Kochi and Amritapuri campuses from November 9th – 14th, 2016. During this time, Prof. Thampi gave talks, held interactive Q&A sessions, and visited several research centers.
Siddharth Ramakrishnan, a graduate of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore campus, won first place at the 2016 KTH Masters Challenge India competition in the field of Engineering Design. Siddharth competed against applicants from the IITs, NITs, and other highly ranked universities throughout India.

Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, hosted Anokha 2017 on March 2-4, 2017. Anokha escalated the imagination of participants with over 10000+ footfalls, 75+ events, 30+ workshops, Lumiere premium lecture series showcasing success stories from all walks of life, Techexpo, Recess-school outreach and a whopping 15 lakhs in prize money. The theme of Anokha 2017 was Innovation and the focus was on leveraging innovation for societal benefit.
