The National Pharmacy Week Celebrations 2015 organized by Amrita School of Pharmacy concluded on December 7, 2015. The theme of this year’s pharmacy week was “Responsible use of Antibiotics Saves lives”.
Amrita School of Pharmacy organized two scientific sessions in connection with the inauguration of PharmacyWeek Celebrations 2015 on November 23, 2015.
Dr. Narendra Kumar, Head, Quality Assurance, Orchid Healthcare Ltd., Sriperumbudur, Irungattukottai, Chennai, addressed B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. students of Amrita School of Pharmacy on September 19, 2015 on “An Overview of Intellectual Property Rights in Pharmaceutical Industry.”
The 12th Convocation of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was held at Coimbatore campus on September 7, 2015. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Honourable Union Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India and Shri. N. Chandrasekaran, CEO, TCS, were the Guests of Honour at the convocation ceremony.
A one day seminar on “Challenges Faced by Clinical Pharmacists in Patient Care” was organized by the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Amrita School of Pharmacy on 3rd July 2015.
Amrita School of Pharmacy organized a five day teacher training program as part of the quality improvement policy at the Kochi campus from June 9-13, 2015. The objective of the program was to empower teachers and to impart basic skills needed to become excellent teachers. The program started by lighting the lamp by Dr. Sabitha M. Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy.
The Ninth Gold Medal Examination on Indian Culture and Values, with special focus on Chancellor Amma’s life and Her teachings, was conducted in March 2015 at Amrita Health Sciences Campus.
“Vishuthainettam” program was organized at Amrita School of Pharmacy on April 16, 2015. Sampoojya Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary, Mata Amritanandamayi Math graced the occasion.
The Tentative Exam Calender for Theory and Practical Examinations of B. Pharm., Pharm. D. and M. Pharm courses are announced by the Controller of Examinations, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi.. . .
Dr. B. Ranganathan, Associate Professor at the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi was conferred with the APP Young Achiever Award during the Fourth Annual National Convention of the Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) held on January 31, 2015 at Invertis University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
