Amrita School of Dentistry conducted the 38th National Conference of Indian Society of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, PedoByte 2016, at Le-Meridian, Kochi, from October 20 – 22, 2016. Six pre-conference courses were conducted at Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi on October 19, 2016.
Eleven undergraduate students of the Amrita School of Dentistry attended and made scientific presentations at the National Undergraduate Convention of the Indian Association of Oral Medicine & Radiology (IAOMR), held at Kozhikode on 16th October, 2016.
Students from Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi won the championships of the inter-campus basketball tournament (both men and women) held at Amritapuri, Kollam from September 8th-10th, 2016. Ram Vibhakar of 4th year BDS was selected as the Best Player of the Tournament.
The ninth tribal outreach programme ‘Amritasmitham 2016’ by the Department of Prosthodontics and Public Health Dentistry of Amrita School of Dentistry was successfully conducted at Kalpetta from August 31st to September 3rd, 2016, as a part of 63rd birthday celebrations of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chancellor Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amma.

In connection with 70th Independence Day of India a variety of programmes were organized at the Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi. A candle light freedom march, “Azaadi 70”, in remembrance of the sacrifices of freedom fighters (Yaadkaro Qurbani) was organized on August 11, 2016.
The 13th Convocation of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will be held on August 21, 2016 (10:00 AM) at Coimbatore campus. The tenth Gold Medal Examination on Indian Culture and Values, with special focus on Chancellor Amma’s life and her teachings was conducted on April 4, 2016 at Amrita Health Sciences Campus.
