Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri announces the results of the Entrance Examinations – Ayurveda 2017.
Amrita Samyogam 2017, an International Conference on Integrative Ayurveda and Modern Medicine was held at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, on August 6-7. 2017. The conference was attended by more than 1000 delegates representing Ayurveda, Modern Medicine and Modern Science.
As a part of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), Dr. Kalamandalam Rachita Ravi performed at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, on 15th June 2017, from 6 pm to 8 pm.SPIC MACAY, a nationwide voluntary movement, organises programmes of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, etc., at schools and colleges, throughout the world, so as to make the students aware about Indian and World Heritage.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been doing several successful projects on Interdisciplinary Sciences and Technology. The inspiration and guiding force behind our successful projects is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chancellor, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma).
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Summer Camp students and Amrita Multi Modal Application Using Computer and Human Interaction’s (AMMACHI Lab) Community Organizers in Kimana and Dunda villages celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2017, by planting trees and plants. An event also was organized at Nani Borvai village in Gujarat.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, ACARA, Amrita School of Ayurveda was a featured presenter at the 13th National NAMA Conference in Chicago, USA, in April, 2017.
Amrita Sparsham Ayurveda Cancer Clinic, an initiative of Amrita Ayurveda Hospital and the Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), Amritapuri, was inaugurated on March 29, 2017, at Amrita School of Ayuveda.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), was honoured with the Dr. C. Dwarakanath Memorial Award for contributions to contemporary interpretations of the principles of Ayurveda.
Dr. K. Unnikrishna Pillai, Professor, Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, has been appointed as member for the governing body of the National Institute of Ayurveda for a period of three years.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, participated as a resource person at the 7th World Ayurveda Congress held at Kolkata from 30th November to 4th December, 2016, at the Science City, Kolkata.
