Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, delivered two invited talks during the First Latin American Conference on Ayurveda held at Rosario, Argentina on 5th and 6th of November, 2016 (1 er. Encuentro LatinoAmericano de Ayurveda).
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, conducted a pre-conference workshop at Ayurvedic Point, Milan, Italy, on 17th September, 2016. The workshop, held on the eve of the Third International Congress on Ayurveda, focused on: the future in tradition, the use of Sanskrit in the classic texts, and study and comments on the sutras.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, participated in three sessions on the final day of the 18th International Ayurveda Symposium, at European Akademie for Ayurveda, Birstein, Germany.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), Amrita School of Ayurveda, participated in the International Conference on Radiation Biology held at SRM University, Chennai on 10th November, 2016.
Dr. Antonella Delle Fave, MD Professor at Faculty of Medicine, University of Milan, visited Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA) at the Amrita School of Ayurveda. Antonella Delle Fave is a medical doctor specializing in Health Psychology.
On July 13th, 2016 Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, was honoured with the Bharadwaja Puraskaram (Award) in memory of Late Vaidyamathom Valiya Narayanan Namboothiri for outstanding contributions in the field of Ayurvedic research during the 6th Annual Day Celebrations of Poonthottam Ayurvedashram, Cherpulassery, Palakkad.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda at the Amrita School of Ayurveda delivered a Plenary Lecture during the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Sri. Gulabkunverba Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya.
Amrita Sutram was conducted at Amrita School of Ayurveda from August 7-14, 2016 and was organised by Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA). Students of Ayurveda from nine states of the country and also delegates from USA and France participated in the workshop to learn the basic teachings of Ayurveda from the Sutrasthana of Astangahridayam.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, delivered a keynote address on the topic “Research Trends in Ayurveda: Scope and Challenges” on 29 July, 2016, at Rani Dullaiya Smriti Ayurvedic PG Chikitsalaya, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh during the National Seminar on “New Research Prospects in the Globalisation of Ayurveda”.
