Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine’s research paper titled Graphene oxide nanoflakes incorporated gelatin-hydroxyapatite scaffolds enhance osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem authored by Dr. Manitha B. Nair, Nancy D., Amit G. Krishnan, G. S. Anjusree, Sajini Vadukumpully and Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair, was published in Nanotechnology, the first journal solely dedicated to science and technology at the nanoscale.
Dr. Sanjay Banerji, Founder Dean and Professor Emeritus, Amrita School of Business (ASB) Coimbatore was invited by Dr. Cecep Effendi, Director General, Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) to visit Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Ram Manohar, Research Director at Amrita School of Ayurvedadelivered a Key Note Lecture on Vegetarian Nutrition in Ayurveda and also chaired a session on Vegetarian Nutrition in Traditional Medicine.
A paper titled, “A Real-Time Detection and Warning of Cardiovascular Disease LAHB for a Wearable Wireless ECG Device”, jointly authored by Anjali Arunan (Master’s student), Rahul Krishnan (Project Associate, Amrita WNA) and Maneesha V. Ramesh ( Director, AmritaWNA) was accepted for poster presentation at the IEEE International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI).
Amrita Students won Cisco’s first-ever “Great Digital India Challenge – iDeate” – an event focused on Internet of Things (IoT) based ideation challenge for India. The first prize for the project SMART WATER includes Rs. 2,50, 000 and was awarded to Amrita School of Engineering Coimbatore’s Akshay, Surya, Parthasarathy and Murali Siva, 3rd year B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering students.
