Amrita Centre for Nanoscience and Molecular Medicine, Kochi scientists lead by Prof. Manzoor Koyakutty and Prof. Shantikumar Nair (Centre Director) received two international patents from USA, Europe, Japan and China for a path-breaking invention in cancer-nanomedicine for treating drug-resistant cancers.

Amrita MBA Program, Kochi Campus added another feather to its cap as it was chosen by McGrawHill Education (MHE) to launch the first-ever ‘McGraw Hill SmartBook Champions’ award. The ‘SmartBook Champions’ award honors the top performing students of courses based on the innovative SmartBook platform from McGraw Hill Education.

The Kochi-based Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (Amrita Hospital) has conducted India’s first double forearm transplant on a 21-year-old youth, Jith Kumar Saji, who lost both his hands below the elbow in 2013 due to electrical burns. This is the third double-hand transplant at the hospital, which is currently the only facility in India with the capability to conduct hand transplants.
On the occasion of ‘International Yoga Day’, the 1st year students of the Amrita MBA Program, Kochi, participated in the event organized at Regional Sports Centre, Kochi. The program was inaugurated by Union Minister Hansraj Gangaram Ahir and attended by people from all walks of life.
