Dr. Chandrashekar Janakiram, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, successfully completed a fellowship in Oral Health Informatics (OHI) and a residency in Dental Public Health from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health, USA.

Dr. R. Venkitachalam, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Amrita Health Sciences, Kochi, won the Best Paper Award for the paper titled “Effectiveness of Laser over Conventional Techniques for the Clinical and Radiographic Outcomes of Primary Molar Pulpotomy: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis” at the National Symposium on Evidence Synthesis for Medicine, Public Health & Social Development held at India Habitat Center, New Delhi, from April 10-12, 2019.
Amrita Hospital, Kochi, received Kerala State Pollution Control Board’s Best Environmental Practice Award 2019 in the hospital sector for its sustained efforts to control pollution and environmental protection. Amrita Hospital has been conferred this award for the fifth consecutive year.
