The Disaster Management Medical Team from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi departed for Rajasthan and Gujarat to extend all necessary medical aid to the needy patients in the flood affected areas. Ernakulam District Collector M. G. Rajamanickam flagged off the 25-member medical team on August 05, 2015.
Under the advocacy of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), doctors, paramedical staff and the Amrita Mobile Telemedicine Unit (AMTU) departed to Jammu & Kashmir on September 30, 2014 to extend all necessary medical aid to the needy patients in the flood affected areas.
From September 8-13, 2010, the team at at Amrita’s Health Sciences campus organized a series of camps in the tribal area of Kalpetta in Wayanad (Kerala) and the villages of Ramabai Nagar and Holavanahalli near Mysore (Karnataka)
On January 17, 2010, a camp was conducted by the Amrita Health Sciences Campus team in Anthoniyar Colony, a tribal settlement in Idukki.
