The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore organised a national level workshop on Soft Computing Techniques with the support of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) from July 17-18, 2015.
A two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Case Method of Teaching was organized by Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore from June 8-9, 2015. Prof. S. Manikutty, Retired Professor, IIM Ahmedabad was the resource person of the program.
The IEEE International Conference on “Technological Advancements in Power & Energy– TAP Energy 2015″, organized by the department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Amritapuri campus was successfully held 24th to 26th June 2015.

The first Amrita Craniofacial Surgery Symposium was held at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences from June 19 – 21, 2015. Jointly organized by the departments of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Neurosurgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Amrita, the symposium focused on the comprehensive management of craniofacial deformities.
The Department of Social Work, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham organized a two day training program on “Anti-Human Trafficking Interventions with a special focus on Labor Exploitation” at the Coimbatore campus on April 16-17, 2015.
On April 17, 2015, a hands-on session on ” Foundation for Oracle DB- An Industry Outlook” was conducted by Mr. Sudhi Gowda, Managing Director, Oracle Foundation, Mysuru. The workshop highlighted the importance of the Oracle Database Foundations and explained how to earn an industry-ready certification.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Chancellor Master and Scholars of the University of Oxford acting for its Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology and by Dr. Bipin Nair, the Dean of Amrita School of Biotechnology, for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on January 12th, 2015.
