A workshop on Amrita Online Labs project, one of the research initiatives of Amrita Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (AmritaCREATE), in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), was conducted at Mithila Public School, Bihar, on July 22, 2018.

Four school students from the state of Uttarakhand, who were trained a part of the AmritaRITE (Rural India Tablet Education) program, have cleared the Navodaya entrance exam and already started their schooling in June, 2018. In the 2017-18 academic year, AmritaRITE program began selecting bright students in villages and giving special tutoring for Navodaya entrance exam.
The students of more than twenty-five Amrita Rural Education Centers from Jammu to Kerala, celebrated International Mother Earth Day on April 22, 2018, by pledging to take care of or plant trees.

AmritaCREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized a one-day workshop on Online Labs, a virtual laboratory developed by AmritaCREATE in partnership with C-DAC Mumbai for the students from class 9 to 12, at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Tamil Nadu, on August 30, 2017. Forty-five science teachers from twenty-two schools participated in the workshop.
