Poonam Salunkhe, Renjith Panthalloor and Swetha K. M., students of M. Tech. Embedded Systems at the Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru campus, have been ranked first in the HiPC 2016 Student Parallel Programming Challenge – NVIDIA GPU track.
“The market of Internet of Things (IoT) is going to be the next big thing in the tech industry, and will have 20 billion devices connected by the year 2020.” This was the introduction to the 4 day workshop and Developer Weekend on IoT and Smart Home Automation, conducted by Electronics, Communication and Instrumentation Forum (ECIF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru campus, in partnership with StudyOwl, started with people trying to digest the full potential of IoT in ways they had never imagined.
Developer Weekend was a community driven two day event initiative by FACE (Forum for Aspiring Computer Engineers) of the department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru campus, well supported by Amrita TBI – Technology Business Incubator and StudyOwl.in.

Tech. students from different colleges, and professional researchers from various companies participated in the meet, along with faculty of department of EEE, Amrita School of Engineering.
A colloquium was held for the 1st year MBS students of Amrita School of Business, Bengaluru. Ms. Mamta Pillai, of Bosch, was the speaker.
The colloquium, held on 14th December, 2016, was well attended by both the 1st and 2nd year students of the department of Management, Bengaluru campus. The talk was given by Mr. Ram Seshu, of Born to Win Academy.
