The 4th Amrita Anaesthesia Refresher Course 2017 (AARC), was conducted by the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, on 1st October, 2017, at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Sanjeev K. Singh, Medical Superintendent, Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, was the chief guest of the event.

Amrita Samyogam 2017, an International Conference on Integrative Ayurveda and Modern Medicine was held at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, on August 6-7. 2017. The conference was attended by more than 1000 delegates representing Ayurveda, Modern Medicine and Modern Science.

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) signed an MoU with Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) for clinical, academic and research collaboration. The MoU was signed by Dr. A. C. Katraki on behalf of BBCI and Dr. Debnarayan Dutta, Head, Radiation Oncology, Amrita Hospital, Kochi on March 17, 2017, at a function held at BBCI auditorium in Guwahati.
