During AYUDH Europe’s 15th Annual European Youth Summit, “Celebrating Diversity 2019”, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Live-in-Labs® was showcased to the 300+ youth who attended the week-long event.
An Amrita delegation visited Northern Illinois University near Chicago, USA, on July 11, 2019. The University at Illinois already had hosted Amrita students and will be planning joint engagements including internship opportunities in USA for Amrita students.
A two-week Indo-French Summer Camp on Technology & Culture was held at the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, from July 8-19, 2019.

Both universities are planning joint programs and exchanges.
A delegation of Amrita professors visited Purdue University on July 11, 2019. The team of professors included Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, Dean PG programs; Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean, Faculty of Arts; Dr. Shyam Diwakar, Faculty fellow at Amrita Center for International Programs and Prof. Praveen Bist.
On 8th July, 2019, a delegation of Amrita’s senior faculty members met their counterparts at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Amrita’s Live-in-Labs® experiential learning program success stories that help India’s villages was showcased.
An Amrita delegation visited Rutgers University, USA, on July 5, 2019, to strengthen ongoing and recent collaborations. Last year, both universities had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Amrita Deans Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan (PG programs); Dr. Bipin Nair (Biotechnology & Faculty of Sciences); Associate Dean of Engineering Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar; Department Chair of Chemical Engineering Dr. Sriram Devanathan and School of Biotechnology’s Dr. Shyam Diwakar met with the Rutgers team.
