AmritaCREATE, one of the research initiatives of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in collaboration with Wayanad Sahodaya, conducted a teachers training program on Online Labs for School Lab Experiments at Hill Blooms School, Wayanad, on February 18, 2017. Fifty science teachers from twenty- four schools participated in the training program.

Anokha escalated the imagination of participants with over 10000+ footfalls, 75+ events, 30+ workshops, Lumiere premium lecture series showcasing success stories from all walks of life, Techexpo, Recess-school outreach and a whopping 15 lakhs in prize money. The theme of Anokha 2017 was Innovation and the focus was on leveraging innovation for societal benefit.
A one day hands-on workshop on MedSim, a computer-based medical simulation software developed Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in association with CDAC Trivandrum, under a research grant from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, was conducted for the final year MBBS students of Trivandrum Medical College on March 3, 2017.
Professors Avinash Shivdas and Sougata Ray from Amrita MBA Program, Amritapuri, received the best paper award for their paper titled “Resource Utilization by Pharmaceutical Companies in India: Emphasis on R&D, Labor and Capital”, that was presented at the International Conference for Data Management, Analytics and Innovation held at Pune during 24th-26th February, 2017.
