AmritaCREATE, one of the research initiatives of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, conducted a one-day workshop on Online Labs at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, on April 20, 2017. Twenty-two science teachers from five nearby schools participated in the workshop.
Amrita RITE organised a Amrita Bala Kendra summer camp for the village children at the Mothakkara ashram in Wayanad on 29th April, 2017. Around 70 tribal students from Class 1 to 10, from 7 tribal colonies attended the camp.
Amrita RITE Education Center at Wayanad district, Kerala, organized a one- day Amrita Bala Kendra Summer Camp for Amrita village children at the branch- Mothakara Ashram, Wayanad, on April 29, 2017. Seventy tribal students from class 1 to 10, from seven tribal colonies attended the camp.
The Indian villages are the bedrock of ancient cultures, preserved carefully through generations of an otherwise changing world. The village teachers at AmritaRITE’s rural education centers conducted a contest among students at the centers, mainly to preserve Indian rural culture and heritage, on April 30, 2017. The event was organized to recognize and provide special care to the important roots of native culture, whose value, though intangible, is intrinsic to the identity of the people of those areas and whose preservation can play a significant role in enhancing their quality of life.
