AMMACHI Labs team along with Amrita SeRVe and Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Manglore, introduced a machine that makes Areca nut plates in Byse village of Karnataka. These eco friendly and biodegradable nut plates are made from the leaves fallen from Areca nut trees. The production of these plates comes in two sizes- 10” & 4.5″. This initiative is expected to generate income for the women in Byse and be a suitable replacement for the widely used plastic plates.
