AmritaCREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized a one-day workshop on Online Labs for School Lab Experiments at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, on July 17, 2017. Twenty-nine science teachers from twelve schools participated in the workshop.

The 7th semester B.Pharm students of Amrita School of Pharmacy bagged 1st and 2nd prizes in the Swaccha Bharat contest held in relation with the National Conference on “ Youth in Social Change” organized by Manipal University on August 5-6, 2017.

Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amrita School of Ayurveda, was invited to deliver a talk titled, “From Bench to Bedside: Research on Cancer in Ayurveda at Amrita University”, on May 23, 2017, at the National Cancer Institute, Shady Grove, Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

Ram Manohar, Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), attended the Second International Conference on Integrative Medicine: Role of Yoga and Ayurveda on the theme “Role of Yoga and Ayurveda in Pain and Addiction Management”.
The Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, conducted the first phase of the Alumni Boot Camp for the second year students, on August 12-13, 2017. Forty-eight alumni across various batches took part in the Boot Camp and gave their input to the second year students.
The 71st Independence of India was celebrated at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on August 15, 2017.
