The AMMACHI Labs (Amrita Multi Modal Applications Using Computer & Human Interaction) inaugurated the newly constructed Research Center and new Amrita Makerspace on 24th August, 2017.
The 14th Graduation Day of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, was held at the campus on 26th August, 2017. 1725 students from the disciplines of engineering, business, arts & sciences, mass communication and social work received their degrees. This included 15 PhDs, and 50 medalists and rank-holders.
A one-day workshop on Online Labs for School Lab Experiments was conducted at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya School, Ludhiana, Punjab, on August 19, 2017. The workshop was organized by AmritaCREATE, one of the research projects under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Twenty science teachers from thirteen schools participated in the workshop.
Amrita School of Biotechnology conducted a seminar titled “Phytochemicals: validation of Mother Nature’s values: A brief glimpse of evidence based research”, on 14th August, 2017, and the resource person of the event was Dr. Sanjit Dey, Professor at the Department of Physiology, University of Calcutta.
