Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has adopted the distance learning platform, A-VIEW (Amrita Virtual Interactive E-Learning World) developed by Amrita e-Learning Research Lab (AERL), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in its ambitious skill training program for over 50 crore Indians, after it was demonstrated in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Youth Skills Day. A-VIEW was developed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in partnership with IIT-Bombay and NMEICT, Ministry of HRD.

The IEEE International Conference on “Technological Advancements in Power & Energy– TAP Energy 2015″, organized by the department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Amritapuri campus was successfully held 24th to 26th June 2015.
A two-week Hands-on Workshop on Computational Approaches to Memory and Plasticity (CAMP) was held at National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore as a summer school on the theory and simulation of learning, memory and plasticity in the brain.
The Department of Sciences, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore conducted a two day workshop entitled “Chemistry for Home” from July 7-8, 2015. There were 74 participants from both undegraduate and postgraduate level.
