Student Achievements
  • Ms. Namitha Chandran, second-year M.Pharm Student (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), won first prize in E-Poster Presentation in the two-day international conference on “Bioinformatics in quantum leap of drug discovery and development BQDD-2024” held in Devakiamma College of Pharmacy, Calicut on January 25, 2024.
  • Ms. Sonu Benny and Ms. Aparna Ann Mathew, PhD Scholars, Amrita School of Pharmacy, were selected for CSIR Senior Research Fellowship under Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences category (January 2024).
  • Ms. Aswathy K. N. and Mr. Sreejith T. S. , PG Scholars of M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) bagged the first and second positions in South Zone Dissolution Research Presentations India 2021 – Online, organized by the Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science on 17th July 2021.
  • Ms. Krishna S. and Ms. Varsha P. S., Pharm. D 5th year students bagged the second prize (cash prize of Rs 1000/-) in poster competition on the topic “Hand Washing”, organized by Department of Infection control, AIMS on 13th October 2021 in connection with Global Hand Washing Day.
  • Ms. Krishna S. and Ms. Varsha P. S., Pharm. D 5th year students won the first prize in poster competition organized by the Geriatric department of AIMS on 30th September 2021 on the topic ‘Pandemics: Do they change how we address age and ageing’. Ms. Abhishekitha Sai and Ms. Anjana C of 5th year Pharm.D secured second position and Mr. Kaushalendra Pratap Singh of Pharm D(PB) second year bagged the third prize
  • The ADR monitoring centre, Department of Pharmacology, AIMS organized Inter Collegiate Quiz, Essay and E poster competition as part of National Pharmacovigilance Week, for the students of health science campus. Our students won prizes for many events

  • Ms. Rajalakshmi R., Pharm. D 5th year received the best poster award in ISFCON 2021 – online international conference on Recent advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences conducted from 1st to 3rd  July 2021 organized by ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga.
  • Ms. Adithya J., M. Pharm, 1st semester (Pharmaceutics) student has been awarded with second prize in Students Pharmaceutical Conclave organized by the Pharmacist Society of Kerala in association with Kerala Private Pharmacist’s Association on 21st August 2021.
  • Darasana Suresh and Ms. Adithya Vinod awarded certificate of appreciation for excellent performance in Pharma Quiz 2020 – Pharmacist Role in Pharmaceutical Care organized by SSM College of Pharmacy, Erode, Tamil Nadu on 25.06.2020.
  • Rohan Mishra of 2nd year M.Pharm Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Ms. Gopika R. of 2nd year M.Pharm Pharmacology, have been awarded “Best student speaker” in the “Drug Design & Synthesis Research” and “Pharmacological Research” sections, respectively at the Students Pharmaceutical Conclave organized by the Pharmacist Society of Kerala in association with Kerala Private Pharmacists Association on 21st August 2020. Ms. Adithya J. of 7th semester B.Pharm and Ms. Sonu Benny, Ph. D. scholar, has also been awarded second prize in the “Phytochemical Research” and “Drug Design & Synthesis Research” sections, respectively.
  • Rajalakshmi R. of 4th year Pharm.D secured the second prize in the quiz and video presentation competitions in the “PHARMA-RENOWN 2020”, organized by the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, St.Thomas Hospital, Chethipizha, Kottayam, Kerala, on the occasion on World Pharmacist Day.
  • Shivali Kamath of 4th year Pharm.D, participated in the “Patient Awareness Pamphlet Making Contest” organized by the Doctor of Pharmacy Association on 22nd September, conducted on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day celebration 2020 and was selected as one among the best 3.
  • Sonu Benny, Ph. D. scholar, has been awarded the first prize of “Speak and Win Competition” organized by “The Pharmacist Group” on 25th September 2020.
  • Gopika Sadasivan awarded certificate of appreciation for excellent performance in National level e Quiz conducted as a part of World Pharmacist Day 25th September 2020.
  • Sonu Benny, secured the first position in oral presentation in Drug Discovery Summit 2020, an International web conference on “Exploring New Horizons in Drug Research, Discovery and Development” conducted by Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and technologies, in association with Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster and CIPLA Foundation held on October 9 – 10, 2020.
  • Ms. Annavaraprabhu Abhishekita Sai, (Pharm D., 2017 batch) won second prize in the poster competition held as a part of “BE PART OF AWARENESS CAMPAIGN” organized by the Department of Gynaecological Oncology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences on February 03, 2020.
  • Ms. Amrutha N. (M. Pharm Pharmacy Practice, 2018 batch) won the first prize in a poster presentation entitled “A Study on the Assessment of Clinical Profile and Treatment Pattern of Multiple Sclerosis in a Tertiary Care Hospital” in an international seminar on “Profession of pharmacy for advanced pharmaceutical care (PCP INTERCON)” at Pushpagiri College of Pharmacy, Thiruvalla, held during January 03-04, 2020.
  • Ms. Aishwari S. Kumar (M. Pharm Pharmaceutics, 2018 batch) won the first prize in poster presentation entitled “Advanced Drug Delivery for Nocturnal Management of Seizure in Epilepsy” in the 3rd International Drug Delivery Congress (IDC 2019) – Nanomedicine : Challenges in shaping the future of next generation medicine at RVS Padmavathi Ammal College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore on November 15, 2019.
  • Ms. Josni Jose (M. Pharm Pharmaceutics, 2018 batch) won the second prize for her poster “Formulation and Evaluation of DHA Oil Based Nicotinamide Nanoemulsion for the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis” in the 3rd International Drug Delivery Congress (IDC 2019) – Nanomedicine : Challenges in shaping the future of next generation medicine at RVS Padmavathi Ammal College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore on November 15, 2019.
  • Ms. Gopika R of M.Pharm Pharmacology 2018 batch won first prize in the poster competition in the two day National conference on “A paradigm shift for emerging paraphernalia in advancement of cancer research” at Nirmala College of Pharmacy, Muvattupuzha on 28th & 29th February 2020 . The topic for her poster was “Effect of L-Amino acid oxidase from Crotalus atrox in streptozotocin induced Alzhemier’s disease”. There were 148 e-posters from various Pharmacy colleges in Kerala.
  • Ms. Aishwari S Kumar of 2nd year M.Pharm Pharmaceutics 2018 batch received first prize in the poster presentation at the “International conference on Advances in Pharmaceutical & Healthsciences(ICAPHS-2020)” held at KS Hegde Auditorium, NITTE (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka held from 20th to 22nd February 2020. The topic of the poster was “detection followed by prophylaxis in epileptic seizure” . There were 200 posters out of which the Ms. Aishwari got first prize.
  • In the Inter-Amrita Athletic meet organized at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, on September 22, 2019, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi, won the overall championship. Read More
  • In the Inter Amrita Athletics and Weight Lifting Championship, held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, from March 19-21, 2019, the School of Pharmacy students of B. Pharm., Pharm..D. and M..Pharm. batches participated in the Inter Amrita Athletics and Weight Lifting and bagged prizes in various events. Read More

  • Mariam Varsha Joseph of Pharm D. (PB) 2014 batch won third prize for the poster “Clinical Profile and treatment related outcomes in Primary Myelofibrosis patients- An Observational Study from Kerala” in the one day annual haematology CME meet conducted by the Cochin Hematology Group on 24th June 2017 at Holiday Inn, Kochi, Kerala.
  • Ms.Athira Anilkumar, Ms.Athira P and Ms.Sumi Sugathan of B. Pharm 7th semester won second prize for the poster “Utilization of waste paper products as a raw material source of cellulose for cellulose based industries” in the National Conference on Youth in Social Change conducted at Manipal University on 5th & 6th August 2017.
  • Mr.Thomas Kuruvila, Ms.Sangeetha M & Ms.Dona Sheba Scaria of B. Pharm 7th semester won first prize for the poster “Waste hub : A new scope for effective waste management through digital India” in the National Conference on Youth in Social Change conducted at Manipal University on 5th & 6th August 2017.

  • Revathy V. Nair, (M.Pharm Pharmaceutics 2013 batch) won first prize for poster presentation on the topic “Formulation-Optimization and Evaluation of Sustained release Timolol Maleate loaded Ocusert for treatment of Glaucoma” in the National Seminar on “Recent Trends and Practices in Drug Delivery” organised by Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Al-Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna on April 28, 2015. She was guided by Anoop K.R., Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutics and Sreeja C. Nair, Lecturer, Pharmaceutics.
  • Elbi Saju (M.Pharm Pharmaceutics 2014 batch) won the best poster award for poster “Invitro anti-oxidant and cytotoxic activity of crude extract of deep sea marine organism Lituria valenciennes” in the seminar on “An insight into the future of pharma domain” organised by College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Government Medical College, Kozhikode during March 18-19, 2015. She was guided by Dr. Sathianarayanan S., Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis.
  • Krishnapriya M. (B. Pharm 2012 batch) won first prize for poster presentation on the topic “Local antimicrobial delivery of satranidazole loaded cross linked periodontal chips using biodegradable polymers” during the one-day national seminar on Toxicology, “Pharma Bane” organised by Pushpagiri College of Pharmacy, Medicity Campus, Tiruvalla on March 12, 2015. She was guided by Sreeja C. Nair, Lecturer, Pharmaceutics.
  • Vijayalakshmi S. (M.Pharm Pharmacy Practice 2013 batch) won the second prize for her poster “Effectiveness of addition of olanzapine to standard antiemetic regimens in patients receiving Emetogenic chemotherapy” in the 66th IPC held at Hyderabad during January 23-25, 2015. She was guided by Dr. Wesley M. Jose, Associate Professor, Medical Oncology and Emmanuel James, Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice.
  • Parvathy S. (B. Pharm 2011 batch) won the third prize for her poster “Thermoreversible – pH sensitive In Situ Gel of Cephalexin for Local Intra Periodontal Drug Delivery” in the one-day international seminar, “Pharma Practice 2015” organised by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mahatma University Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and Research sponsored by KSCSTE, DST and Govt. of India on January 01, 2015. She was guided by Sreeja C. Nair, Lecturer, Pharmaceutics.
  • Sagi Sasidharan (M.Pharm Pharmacy Practice 2013 batch) won first prize in inter-collegiate poster competition organized by Dept. of Endocrinology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in connection with World Diabetes Day on November 14, 2014.
  • B.Pharm and Pharm.D students were members of the team who bagged second position in Intercollegiate Football Tournament conducted at Banagaluru on October 10, 2014.
Faculty/Staff Achievements
  • Dr. S.K. Kanthlal, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Amrita School of Pharmacy, won the first prize in oral presentation in the one-day international conference on Translational Research for the Future of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Practice– PHARMACIA 24 organized by Sree Krishna College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Parassala, Thiruvananthapuram, in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Kerala State Branch on February 17, 2024. His topic was titled – Apple Polyphenol Phloretin : A Potential Therapeutic Agent for Ulcerative Colitis-Insights from Experimental Studies in Acetic Acid Induced Rat Model.
  • Mr. Sunil Dath, Senior Physical Instructor, won Silver Medal in 200 m race in National Masters Athletic Meet held at Goa during February 08-10, 2024 and qualified for Asian Championship.
  • Ms. Shanika Vikraman (Lab Attendant, Amrita School of Pharmacy) and her team won the first prize in the 9th Kerala Hockey Senior Women State Championship 2024 held at Kollam during February 24-26, 2024

  • Dr. Sabitha M., Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy, attended the One Day National Conference on Novel Smart Polymeric Nano Drug Delivery Systems (Nano Innovative-2024) as a resource person. The conference was held during March 27, 2024 at S A Raja Pharmacy College, Vadakkankulam, Thirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. She delivered lecture on the topic – Revolutionizing neurotherapeutics : Poloxamer based Nanoformulations for enhanced brain delivery.
