She delivered a talk on the topic “Women’s Healthcare through Ayurveda” followed by an interactive session with the audience.
Dr. Haroon Irshad, Associate Professor, Dept.of Moulika Siddhanta (Basic principles of Ayurveda), School of Ayurveda, Amrita vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri has won the Best Paper Presenter Award(Teacher’s category) in the scientific session of Anusandhana 2019, National Seminar and Workshop on Research Methodology & Biostatistics held on 22nd February 2019 at KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia.
Dr. Haroon Irshad’s paper titled “Identification and interpretation of the changes found in different contexts of Ashtanga Samgraha Sutrasthana in comparison to Charaka Samhita” has won the best paper presenter award.
The National seminar was organized by K.V.G Ayurveda medical college and hospital in association with K.V.G Ayurveda pharma and Research center, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka.

Dr. Ananth Ram Sharma, Associate Professor, Post Graduate Department of Panchakarma, Amrita School of Ayurveda addressed the PG scholars and House surgeons and share the “Clinical experiences” at Government Ayurveda College Thripunitura, on July 23rd 2015. The program was organised by Post Graduate Students Association Thripunitura as a part of their regular academic activities.

Dr. M. R. Vasudevan Nampoothiri, Principal, Amrita School of Ayurveda was awarded with Shri Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Puraskaram 2015 by Padmasree Jayaram, Cine Artist for his valuable service as a physician in the field of Ayurveda at Shri Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Shastra Sadas at Thottuva Dhanwanthari Temple, Ernakulum on May 17, 2015. It made a remarkable impact for the budding physicians of Amrita school of Ayurveda.
Dr. C. Nagarajan (Swami Sankaramritananda Puri), Medical Director, Amrita School of Ayurveda was invited as a special guest for the Shastra Sadas. The uniqueness of this program was a seminar based on the topic “Twak roga” in Ayurveda by Dr. M. R. Vasudevan Namboothiri and Dr.P. M. Madhu. Students of Amrita school of Ayurveda, made the day even more auspicious by chanting Astanga Hrudaya Sootrasthana.
Dr. Nalinakshan, Professor and Head, Department of Prasuthi Tantra and Stree Roga, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been appointed ad new Pro Vice Chancellor of Kerala Health University by P. Sathasivam, Governor of Kerala the very next day after his predecessor stepped down. He was the former principal of Government Ayurveda College, Thripunithura and a member of board of Studies and Academic Council of KUHS. Also the recipient of an award for the best Ayurvedic Medical College Teacher.
Dr. C. Nagarajan (Swami Sankaramritananda Puri), Medical Director, Amrita School of Ayurveda and Dr. M. R. Vasudevan Nampoothiri, Principal, Amrita School of Ayurveda were invited as panellist for the “NITHYA AYU” National Ayurvedic Conference at Shri Nithyananada Yogashram, Uppala on March 22, 2015. Mr. Sripada Nayak, Honorable Central AYUSH Minister inaugurated the event. A special Chaturveda Samhita Yaga and Bruhat Gayatri Ghrutha Samprapthi Yaga were also planned from March 22-29, 2015, under the guidance and presence of Shree Yogananda Saraswati Swamiji. More than 20 UG, PG students including staff of Amrita School of Ayurveda Amrita witnessed the occasion.

First Prize in the Third National Level Ayurveda PG Thesis Presentation Competition 2022
Dr. Swathy V, post graduate scholar, Department of Swasthavritta, Amrita School of Ayurveda won First Prize in in the Third National Level Ayurveda PG Thesis Presentation Competition for Dr. C.R. Agnives Memorial Award organized by Ayurveda Medical Association of India and AMA Research Foundation in association with VPS Ayurveda College Kottakkal.
First Prize for Best Poster Presentation at Saadhanaa 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020
Dr. Amrutha S. Babu, final-year PG scholar, Department of Kayachikitsa, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won the first prize in the poster presentation competition titled “Neurological Movement Disorders” at Saadhanaa 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020, conducted by Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College, Kothamangalam, Kerala, from February 6 to 8, 2020. The poster presented was “Clinical Significance of Lashuna Rasayana Prayoga in Huntingtons Disease”.
Second Prize for Best Paper Presentation at Saadhanaa 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020
Dr. Swathy V., second-year PG Scholar, Department of Swasthavritta, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, participated in the paper presentation competition at Sadhana 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020, held at Nangelil Ayurveda College, Kothamangalam from February 6 to 8, 2020. Overall there were 240 papers selected for the paper presentation competition. In the departmental level preliminary round, Dr. Swathy bagged the first position from the department of Swasthavritta and was selected to the final round. 15 participants representing their respective departments presented the papers in the final round. A panel of 8 senior judges from various streams of Ayurveda evaluated the paper presentation. In the final round, she won the second prize for the best paper presentation. The prize included a cash prize of Rs. 3000, certificate of merit and a trophy.

The topic presented was “Concept of Uttarottara Dhatuposhana in Relation to Cell Differentiation”. The prize included a certificate of merit and a trophy.
Student Wins Second Prize in Poster Presentation at Atharva-19 National Seminar
Dr. Minu Rosamma Joseph, First year PG Scholar, Department of Shalyatantra, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, secured second prize in the poster presentation at THARVA-19 National Seminar on Emergency Management – An Ayurveda Approach, held at Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum, from July 3-4, 2019.
The theme of the competition was ‘Treatment Perspectives in Diabetes Mellitus’. Dr. Joseph presented a poster on the topic of ‘Prevention and Management of Diabetic Neuropathy by Padabhyanga and Atibala Kashayapana’.

Dileep, PG Scholar, Dept. of Shalakyatantra, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won the First prize in scientific paper presentation(oral) in Prayukta 2019 National Seminar on Parasurgical Methods conducted by Sree Narayana Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research, Pangode, Puthoor on June 28, 2019.
The topic presented was “A Pre-test and Post-test Study to Assess the Effect of Agnikarma and Varunadi Ksheerapaka in Migraine ( Ardhavabhedaka).”
The prize included a certificate of merit, cash prize of Rs. 3000 and a momento.

The topic presented was “Role of Agnikarma in the Management of Vataja Shira Shoola with its Treatment Protocol- A Case Report.”

Dr. Vandana K Vasudevan third year PG scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga , School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, have won first prize for poster presentation at the “8th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo” organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation and Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India, conducted at Gujarat University Convention and exhibition centre, Ahmedabad from December 14-17,2018. The title of the poster was “Floral Therapy for women’s health: an overview”.

Dr. Vandana presented the paper titled “The combined effect of Masha Ashwagandhadi choorna and counseling in oligoasthenozoospermia with previous intrauterine insemination failure: A case report”.

Dr. Vandana presented the paper titled “Increased short term risk following first pregnancy: An Ayurvedic Prespective”
Dr. Sujithra M., PG Scholar, Dept. of Dravya Guna Vijnana, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won the third prize in Scientific Paper Presentation (Oral) conducted by AHMA at Aluva on March 17, 2019. The topic presented was ‘A Comparative Phytochemical Assessment of Triphala Kaṣāya Vāsita Godhūma and RawGodhūma.’
The prize included a certificate of merit, cash prize of Rs. 5000 and a momento of ‘Young Scholar Award’.
