Theoretical Physics

The Theoretical Physics TAG group’s overarching vision is to bring together the collective research prowess of its members, fostering a collaborative environment that bolsters excellence and secures a top-ten ranking within the nation’s theoretical physics programs. This aspiration involves an unwavering commitment to educating students at the undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. levels, thereby cultivating a new generation of theoretical physicists. Furthermore, the group is dedicated to establishing fruitful collaborations with preeminent theoretical physics organizations both nationally and internationally, expanding the horizons of their research endeavors. By harmonizing these objectives, the group aims to establish itself as a pivotal force in the realm of theoretical physics, making significant contributions to cutting-edge research, while simultaneously equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to advance the field in a meaningful way.

Vision

Theoretical Physics TAG group vision is to consolidate group strength in research fields related to group members. Grooming the existing excellence and extending the breadth will enable us to firmly establish ourselves in the top ten theoretical physics programs in the country.

Mission

To trained the undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. level students in the theoretical physics research and also establish a collaborations with best theoretical physics groups at national and international level.

Proposed initiative

  • With the new development and challenges in the theoretical physics, the theoretical physics group will target on the following areas:
    (1) To develop new collaboration in interdisciplinary research which will help Ph.D Students as well as the graduate and postgraudate students.
    (2) To submit research proposals to funding agencies and published papers on high Impact factor international journals.
