Vision 

The Vision, Language and Intelligent Learning Thrust Area Group pursues fundamental research at the intersection of Computer vision, Medical imaging, Natural Language processing and Machine Learning. We aim to create Intelligent systems that can learn from vast amout of visual, textual and biomedical signal information, that can integrate and enhance human experiences and can resolve complex tasks that typically require human intelligence. We formly believe that the technology should benefit the society and we strive towards making a positive impact on the society.​​

The Vision, Language, and Intelligent Learning Thrust Area Group is dedicated to pioneering research at the intersection of Computer Vision, Medical Imaging, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning. Our mission is to develop intelligent systems that:

Learn from Diverse Data: Harness vast amounts of visual, textual, and biomedical signal information to enable systems to learn and adapt effectively.

Integrate and Enhance Human Experiences: Create technologies that seamlessly integrate with and enhance human experiences, making everyday interactions more intuitive and efficient.

Resolve Complex Tasks: Develop solutions capable of addressing complex tasks that typically require human intelligence, improving accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.

Benefit Society: Ensure our technological advancements have a positive societal impact, striving to create tools and systems that improve quality of life and address pressing global challenges.
