The Hybrid Charging Station is an innovative concept that integrates sustainable energy sources and electric vehicle infrastructure to meet the specific needs of EVs in both urban and rural settings. Primarily employing solar energy, the HCS demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability in transportation. Key components of the HCS include solar panels, a wind turbine, four DC/DC converters, an energy storage system, and a fuel cell with a boost converter, all supporting a DC load of 40kW. One of the standout features of the HCS is the incorporation of machine learning weather prediction models, such as Neural Prophet, which enhance efficiency by forecasting variations in renewable energy generation. This capability allows the HCS to adjust energy distribution based on weather forecasts, minimizing reliance on non-renewable sources, improving overall system efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions. Machine learning predicts temperature and wind speed to optimize power generation.
