Abstract : Besides addressing challenges like increasing environmental pollution, global warming, and depletion of natural resources, electric vehicles (EVs) have the potential to replace current generation vehicles. This study provides a fundamental model of electric car with its system level setup and analyzes it using various drive cycles. Types of controllers that can be deployed in EVs are a secondary strength of the article. The Matlab/Simulink model of the EV is used to assess the effectiveness of three distinct controllers (P, I, and PI).According to the findings of the study, the PI controller offers better speed and state of charge (SoC) performance. The discussion proceeds regarding the study’s findings and the way it might affect EV design. PI controller is suggested as the best option for EV controllers as it offers the best performance and is reasonably easy to deploy. Matlab/Simulink platform is used to run the simulation.
