Synthesis and characterization studies of silver nano particles using homoeo medicine (Gelsemium Sempervirens)

Abstract : Silver nanoparticles have been synthesized uinghomeo medicine (Gelsemium sempervirens). Silver nanocolloids are undergone Transmission Electron Microscopy-TEM and Selected Area Electron Diffraction-SAED studies.High resolution pattern noticed clearly indicates the spherical morphology of nano particles. Each grain is separated from the other based on the well defined grain boundary. SAED pattern of silver nanoparticle consisted in white rings. On further analysis, the structural pattern is found to be face centered cubic. Uv-visible absorption spectra show that the absorption peak for sample confirms the formation of silver nano particles with a controllable grain size at nano region. Bandgap energy for prepared sample matches with the standard value of colloidal silver and it undergoes a direct allowed type transition.
