Abstract : The present work was to investigated the effects of trapezoidal and elliptical shape on stenosis artery. The variation of outlet velocity, pressure and wall shear stress has been investigated in a patient specific artery under pulsatile condition using open foam. Newtonian and Non-Newtonian model has been implemented in order to find out the variation in flow parameters. The trapezoidal model was found to be showing higher value of wall shear stress and velocity as compared to elliptical model. Higher wall shear stress was found in the region of maximum velocity. Non- Newtonian model showing higher value of wall shear stress than Newtonian model. This Problem has significant importance in the field of medical application.
