Abstract : Aluminium Metal Matrix composites are selected as the ideal material in various fields as they possess many preferable qualities. The objective of the study is fabrication of Aluminium hybrid MMC with LM 9 alloy as the matrix and BN and WC as reinforcements with minimum porosity by squeeze casting method and evaluation of the properties such as tensile strength, hardness and wear rate of the hybrid composites. Base alloy and four samples with different weight percentage of reinforcements were fabricated by squeeze casting. The percentage of WC was kept constant at 5% and the percentage of BN was varied from 3% to 9%. Hardness, tensile and wear tests were conducted. Microstructural studies were carried out with the help of optical microscopy, SEM, EDS and XRD. The hardness and wear resistance increased with increase in weight percentage of reinforcement whereas tensile strength showed a slight decrease for 5% WC + 9% BN reinforced specimen
