Abstract : Being surrounded by ever-growing smart applications, technology is revolutionizing the world. Smart devices can be pivotal in possession of elderly and disabled people with adequate access. The proposed model consists of a smart lock system which can be administered with remote access through an app using our smartphones. The owner has access to the movement of the door. Upon ringing of the doorbell, a notification is sent to our phones, where we can use the access of live video coverage to identify the person at the door and decide whether to provide permittance to the person by opening the door lock using the app. Thus, this will resolve the problem of elderly and disabled people who are incapable of reaching out to the door. This paper also has other proposed systems such as fire detecting modules and other sensors. In case of an intruder trying to break in, the buzzer gets activated and alerts the owner. It also has a password based system with keypad to have access to the door from outside. Therefore this project is cost effective and easy to implement and uncomplicated to use makes the project very useful.
