Abstract : A control algorithm based on coulomb counting and an extended gradient-boosting algorithm is presented in this paper to estimate ranges and generate alerts in smartphones using the Internet of Things (IoT). With these algorithms, the study determines how much charge is left in an electric vehicle's battery and how far it can travel. This algorithm has been simulated in MATLAB, and the results show that it estimates the available energy efficiently and dynamically displays the maximum vehicle distance.
