Abstract : Many tools have been developed to control different devices from a remote location with the advancement in science and technology. These tools enable the control of the devices automatically without any physical contact with the switches. The purpose of the paper is to design Internet of Things (IoT) based prototype and implement high security system with smart controlling of the appliances of the home in an automated way. For this we use fingerprint sensor for authentication, Voice controlled system and Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor for controlling the home appliances and a Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) technology is used to alert the owner in case of authentication failure.
