Abstract : The population of India is enormous. With its increasing population, there is an increasing demand in electricity. For the production of power, India is incredibly reliant on hydrocarbon reserves. To decrease carbon footprints, switching to other alternatives such as renewables is essential. The sporadic nature of renewable sources results in a decrease in efficiency in deploying the energy. The major drawback for a home with a roof top solar panel includes storage, conversion, and transmission losses. For an electric vehicle (EV) charge/discharge plays a vital role. The alternative design that this study suggests allows for direct energy sharing between residences, EVs, and the grid. This approach is statistically analyzed, by considering the veracious data of harvested, and consumed energy of homes, and the state of charge (SoC) of the EVs.
