Abstract : Global warming is mostly due to emissions from the means of transport. The massive increase in fuel prices results in a huge need to search for a replacement. Promoting electric cycling will reduce both the CO2 content and fuel prices. This paper focuses on developing hybrid solar-powered bicycles. This e-vehicle uses renewable solar energy for propulsion and the rider's pedaling energy, serves as a backup energy source in the absence of solar energy. This electric cycle is running at a lower expense. The planned cycle average speed ranges between 12 and 15 km / h. Hybrid bicycles thus become a critical and inexpensive alternative. This paper suggests a thorough redesign of the traditional bicycle into a hybrid bicycle and proposes clear experimental investigations. Also, the existing report reviews on the hybrid bicycle is discussed. The proposed implementation method makes the modification of the traditional bicycle into a hybrid bicycle easier and the redesigned hybrid bicycle is compared with the two-stroke engine based vehicles.
