Abstract : Over 1 billion of the world population have some form of disability which corresponds to 15% of the world population. And this disability suppresses their ability to communicate with the physical world. The proposed prototype provides an opportunity for such people to be self-reliable and enhances the ability of the disabled people to operate the electrical and electronic devices remotely, without the assistance of fellow beings. This prototype aims at providing an eminent platform for disabled people to communicate with the physical world at an equitable price. Human eye is capable of producing a corneo-retinal potential whose magnitude varies from 0.4-1mV with a frequency ranging from 0-35 Hz. This is attributed to the high metabolic rate of retina. The proposed model exploits this appealing property of human eye. It encompasses the ECG electrodes to trap this potential and is fed as an input to the amplifier circuit. Further, the amplified signal is conditioned using a signal conditioning circuit to remove the noise creeping into the signal. This is wirelessly transmitted using an RF module to the receiver circuit and from there it is used to trigger the required circuit. A LED is triggered to ensure the functionality of the framework.
