Abstract : In this paper a Low frequency inverter, its operation and testing's are discussed. The low frequency inverter is designed for Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) application. This inverter is tested for improving the reliability to be well used in UPS application. The types of testing's and two case studies on improving the stability and reliability are discussed. Also the various protections included in UPS application for an inverter are discussed.
