Abstract : As a vital resource for lifestyles on this planet, Water is under extreme danger of scarcity with population growth. Recycling and reuse of wastewater are constantly important that allows you to fulfill the need for water. Here, the main focus is on designing and developing a turbidity sensor which is of low cost for monitoring the quality of water in the Activated Sludge Process. A photoresistor and a LED will form a turbidity sensor pair. In this project, we are using Series of these turbidity pairs which are placed at different equally spaced positions in a settlement tank. Sensors will monitor and sends the obtained values to the stakeholders over the Internet. A turbidity sensor is not a solution because it is susceptible to changing water conditions and it must be constantly maintained. By introducing the Internet of Things (IoT) concept into this, will help in automating the entire STP process and make it more efficient and cheaper compared to the traditional methods.
