Abstract : SDN, is also referred to as software-defined networking, it is a type kind of network architecture which is used to address problems with the conventional network. It is a dynamic, programmable network that follows a layered architecture. We can build and design the hardware components by using this network architecture, and dynamically we can change the network settings, whereas it is not possible in the traditional network due to the fixed network connection type. The main problem that SDN is facing is denial-of-service attacks which is a DOS attack type; in a DDoS, multiple internet and server connections are used to attack the targeted system. It’s a powerful attacking method against a system. In this research, we offer some cutting-edge methods for detecting and combating DDoS assaults in the SDN network using deep learning and machine learning algorithms.
