Abstract : Ergonomics is the science of designing the job, equipment and workplace to fit the worker.. It could be concluded that there was need to systematically and quantitatively measure office workers productivity by considering ergonomic factors in Indian workers. An experiment was carried out in field laboratory to investigate the combined effect (combinations as in L9 orthogonal array) of three indoor air temperatures (20 O C, 21 O C, and 22 O C), three indoor illuminations (500 lux, 750 lux,1000 lux), three complexity of tasks (Easy, Moderate, Difficult) on productivity with 21 participants (15 males and 6 females). Participants' performance was evaluated with 15 neurobehavioral test which assessed different neurobehavioral functions including visual perception, working memory, reasoning, logical conclusion, executive functions, writing etc. Participant's emotion assessed with the profile of mood status (POMS), which consist of six identifiable mood states: tension, depression, anxiety, fatigue and confusion, vigor .The optimum combination of the factors at which performance of participants' and comfort level is higher is obtained using appropriate data analysis methods.
